Artist Snapshots: Marea2007 Praga

For over a decade, Marea2007 Praga has been involved in the arts community. She has had experience that ranges from organizing art exhibitions for other artist, to creating her own. When describing her artistic style, she said: “My love for Art has always had a special attention to Surrealism, which has always been more congenial to my moods and my nature.”

With out dropping too many hints at what’s to come, she had this to say about her up and coming SLEA exhibit: “I intend to carry out the representation of the freedom of the woman (I don’t consider myself an artist but only a creative person) that leaves the thoughts free to choose which path to take… wandering in art without a destination or look for one or infinite. It’s also the representation of human freedom more generally: the freedom that is born, evolves, but also knows how to take root and regenerate itself, according to what it feels and wants.”

“The key word is not Opening, but Sharing.”

Marea

How do you feel about being one of the launch artists for SLEA?
Marea:
“I am excited to begin this new experience. Which, for me, represents a sort of closing of the circle after 13 years of virtual life in which I have had a lot of fun dealing with Real and Virtual Art. It represents a nice goal, but I hope to learn new and even unexpected things.”

In less than 5 words, how would you describe your style of art?
Marea:
“Surreal. Dreamlike. Spontaneous. Irrational. Freedom.”

If you could display your art next to one of the great masters, who would you choose?
Marea:
“Salvador Dalí in primis.”

Complete this sentence: “Art is…?
Marea:
“…no opening, but Sharing.”

Congratulations Marea2007 Praga and welcome to SLEA!

Starting in April 1, 2021 through June 30th, Marea2007 Praga’s work will be on display at SLEA.
