With the excitement of the announcement of the grants being awarded, we will be giving a glimpse at the artists themselves. First up is Jennifer Steele. Jennifer is an RL artist as well as a potential Art Educator at SLEA. Also known inworld by the name Steele Wilder, Jennifer has a passion for the arts that is nearly palpable. We look forward to seeing what this grant winner will bring to SLEA.

1.) Describe with three words how you felt when hearing that you were awarded an SLEA Grant
THRILLED! HONOURED! OVERWHELMED!
2.) If you appeared on this page, what quote would you like under your portrait? https://the-talks.com/interviews/art/
Own your journey authentically – it’s all that is truly yours.
3.) If you could display your art next to one of the great masters, who would you choose?
That’s a very hard question to answer because I’m classically trained and love them all.. BUT, to pick one, Auguste Rodin, who, like me was a painter and a sculptor. As revolutionary as he was in his time, I hope that I too am changing the impression of what classic art is meant to be.
4.) In less than 5 words, how would you describe your style of art?
Ever evolving representational abstract chaos.
You may view Steele Wilder’s work at the Region 7 sky platform from January 1 2021 through March 31st.
Thanks Vanessa! 🙂 Well… I’ve been sworn to secrecy until January 🙂 … Let’s just say, you’ll never view abstracts the same way again 🙂
